Title Report

The Rights Company Title Report is a detailed investigation and review of whether a project’s title is in use or protected by another party, and if potential exists to cause legal issues, such as trademark infringement or consumer confusion.

A Title Report helps avoid rebranding or legal complications in the future and is often required by distributors, insurance providers and legal teams to determine whether a title is clear to use.

What’s included:

• An in-depth search of the production’s title through the Copyright Offices in the U.S. and Canada. Registrations, recorded documents and in-process listings are searched, including those available online and those not available online, to identify works with the same title.

• Trademark searches in numerous countries in North America, Central America, South America, Caribbean, Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia and Oceania.
